Pebble Toolkit v.0.1: Cloud compilation! (Compile watchfaces from Windows!)

Hello,

I'll just leave here my friday-night project: a project manager for Pebble.

... Actually, the project manager is just an excuse to show off my "cloud compilation" (:-P) feature: you can compile watchfaces from anywhere without having to install the SDK!

Without further ado, here is Pebble Toolkit: https://github.com/jdiez17/pebble-toolkit

Feedback is most welcome.

Yep, once you compile a watchface a QR code will open. Scan that with your phone, and the app will be downloaded.

You need to execute "pip install requests docopt" ;-)

and now I get a 'git is not a recognized command' where do I get git?

Im trying to do it without the "git clone git@github.com:jdiez17/pebble-toolkit.gi" command.

So I typed this: pebble-toolkit.py project cloudcompile http://kathar.in/stopwatch-2.1.pbw

And it gives me this error: No PBW Received - Compilation error

EDIT: Got it to work, but the pbw still doesnt install on iOS.... I thought it would but guess not

No, "pip install requests docopt" is a command. If your environment does not have the "pip" command (it should), execute "easy_install pip" before that.

Would it be possible to post a QR code to test the mechanics?  Thanks, Scott

P.S. Is the QR code different from the SimpleHTTPServer method?  Seems like the iPhone app would still be in the way.

    Hi,
I am very interested in this project:
Able to share how is it possible to upload the watchface project up to the cloud to do cloud compilation and what is required for this?

It worked great yesterday and today I get no response from the server.  I guess the free ride is over.  It was fun while it lasted.

I hope José Manuel puts the server back online or posts some info about how we could run an alternate server.
