Hi Brazillians,

I just used some spare time to adapt Fuzzy Time watchface to our mother language.
Any suggestion is welcome.

    Oi Thiago

Can you supply the source please?
So I can check if there are differences to portuguese way of telling the time...
    Thanks
    --------------
    Podes disponibilizar a source?
Para ver se existem diferenças na forma de dizer as horas em pt-pt vs pt-br
    Obrigado.

    Hi Pedro,

    Sure.
I'm at work now. As soon as I'm back home I'll fix a bug when displaying eleven hours (it's showing "dez e uma") and upload the source code.

    Oi Thiago,
Thanks for the source, I'll be checking it out.
Already have the watch face installed on my pebble now, saw the bug and got the corrected version installed just now, thanks for quickly supplying the correction.
One suggestion, I think would be nice if the thread name includes version number, as some developers have done, it would be easier to know the watch face we're "following" has changed.
    Thanks Again.

    Hi again Thiago,
Well, from the time I tried it, I have two comments:
    1. When the time is near 13:00, it says, for instance, "quinze para as uma" instead of "quinze para a uma". I think it's a small fix, the option is already in the source on line 49.
    2. I notice one thing different from how we say the time in Portugal.
I don't know if Brazilians use it to, but you have implemented "quinze", not "um quarto".
Ex: We usually say "meio-dia e um quarto" instead of "meio-dia e quinze",
and "um quarto para o meio-dia " instead of "quinze para o meio-dia"
Looking at the source it would appear a simple swap, in line 46, from "quinze" to "um quarto", would change it.
What do you think, could you build a new version with this small change? Maybe fork it to a pt-pt version (not sure everyone in Portugal tells time like this, but most people I know do)
    Thanks.
    Pedro.

  • Valeu, Tiago,
    pela iniciativa?
E reitero o pedido do Boto, teria como fazer uma versão do text watch?

    Hi Pedro,

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for these bugs.
I don't have a lot of time to test as we don't have a Pebble simulator yet.
I just fixed this other issue displaying one hour text.

I lived in Lisbon for a short period of time but I really don't remember how do they usually say a quarter. In the city that I live in Brazil we use "quinze".
Anyway, I just added one second .pbw with this small change.
Let me know if you find any issue, because I didn't test this a lot.

    Thanks,
    Thiago

    Hi Thiago,
Thanks a lot, very nice of you!
No apologies necessary. I'm happy to beta test ;) when we're on the tech edge we must accept this as a given.
Besides, you're doing this for the fun, I believe, so I just hope it stays fun.
So, downloaded and installed on my pebble, at "um quarto para as nove" here in Portugal :)
Thanks again, for your very nice work and good will!
    Pedro.

  • Pessoal, eu fiz uma versão do Text Watch em ptBR que também mostra a data embaixo. Ainda estou tentando descobrir como mostrar a data em português do Brasil, mas já quebra um galho! Se alguém quiser testar, segue o link:

    ----------------

Everyone, I made a ptBR version of the TextWatch that also displays de date at the bottom. I'm still trying to figure out how to display the date in brazilian portuguese, but at least its something! If anyone cares to try it, the link is above.

    Hi Felipe,

Really good! Thank you very much.

If you want you can post the source code so I can help you translating the date.

    Thanks,

  • Here's the code: https://github.com/falves/Textwatch_ptBR

The problem I'm having with the date is that it is in english. I cannot set the locale to write it in portuguese!

I think the SDK won't have a localization to brazillian portuguese. Maybe we can try to write this function.

    What do you think?
