Competition: $pace Invader$ Easter egg hunt!

OK, so I'm a few weeks late for Easter, and I can't wait til next year, so let's just do this thing!

I've just uploaded a new version of Space Invaders, and it has an easter egg buried in it. Your job is to find it. It won't be easy.


So the deal is that the first person to post here with..
a) photographic proof of the easter egg, AND,
b) a description of how you found the easter egg
.. will be deemed the winner. The prize? $50 (USD) from me to you.

The small print
1) If you "like" Space Invaders on mypebblefaces.com it won't necessarily increase your chances of winning, but the good karma won't hurt!
2) No disassembly! I won't be able to easily prove it, but if you disassemble the binary you may win the competition, but you'll lose several million good karma points. Play nice.
3) There is no 3rd rule
4) My decision is final and no whining or bitching will be tolerated.

    Nice.

    Well, I think I can mark high scores off the list. I got nearly 20k and didn't notice anything. I did however find a really interesting strategy which I think is a direct result of the invader projectile change from the original zig zags to the filled circles. 

    Basically you just shoot through your own shield, either far one works best, and camp out shooting targets - no need to move ever again. The enemy projectiles can't make it through because they are wider than your projectile, so they still need to work a path through which is very unlikely.

    The fix is simple, just lower the enemy  projectile collision down to 1 pixel wide if thats possible. Although that may affect their collision with your ship.

    Some other things I've tried:

    Shooting the mystery ship over and over again. I noticed the points earned are different at times, I figured that may have been a clue.

    Also tried shooting the sky since there is now edge detection. I think I tried 100 times, can't be sure though.

    Tried scoring 1978 but there are no single point targets, so the next goal is 19780 and then forcing an end game. Only reason that score comes to mind is because thats when it debuted, although 1979 stateside so I guess theres 2 tries.

    Even tried killing all the invaders in one go, and not letting them traverse the opposite direction. Haven't done it yet, getting closer though.

    I Found IT! :)

    You have to kill all the aliens exept the very left button one :)
    It was a bit hard, almost all the day played it to found it :D

    Nice. And by very left one, do you mean just one alien or the whole row? I just left the top left one alone when trying see how many time I could hit the mystery ship.

    Only one, and not the top one, the button one on the left side, its a bit hard cause you have to shot near the button left one, to kill the upper ones, but it's not impossible, as you see :D All is just practicing. :) And I don't know that counts, but I also killed all the "mother" ships too.

    Yes, you need to leave the bottom left one. Shooting around him is a challenge, but totally doable. When you see the easter egg you can press the fire button to return to the game.
