I built a watchface to show the date and time in Japanese. (http://forums.getpebble.com/discussion/5698/watch-face-japanese)

It shows month, day, hour, minute and seconds.  Output looks something like this:

六日

八時

十六分

十四秒

With the chosen font size this fits nicely on the pebble display.

Recently I made a variation to display the weekday instead of the seconds.  This involved adding an extra 6 characters to the previous 16 included in the font.  All of these display correctly at this size, except for one, the character for Thursday (木), which is displayed as ☒.  This is due to the well know firmware limitation (http://forums.getpebble.com/discussion/6291/font-rendering-breaks-at-larger-sizes).

So now I have watchface that works perfectly, all the time, except on Thursdays.

In honour of this awesome bug I humbly offer the following new slogan suggestions to the Pebble PR department:

Pebble: 24/6

Thursday: Leave your Pebble at home day!

but if you know yourself the limitations of pebble, than what sense makes to you to devalorize it? the only realistic alternative at the moment is the sony-watch. but i cant really use it in sunlight so what remains?

I had a Sony-Ericsson LiveView.  It was such a piece of junk I'd never even consider buying a Sony SmartWatch.  The Pebble by comparison is great, hardware works, bluetooth works, which makes it so much more frustrating that it's still crippled with this prototype firmware.  Oh well, 6 out of 7 ain't bad...

Sony is big and they need success. Their reader 300 was very good at that time, only the sync-software was junk. I bought their watch 1 for 83 euros, pebble at ebay for ca 240 after playing a bit around with them I decided to write my first app for pebble because of the uselessness of sony in the sun. but sony 2 should be much better in this regard.

Anyway, I have now invested so much time in pebble that I will finish my app. Thats the cause that I dont like critic on the watch although you are absolutly right
