Introducing Hacker News for Pebble! Read the front page, new, and best stories on Hacker News now right on your wrist!

It uses HNify API to get the stories and Clipped API to summarize them.

A comments view and settings (change text size) is in the works.
Long click select in the story list view refreshes the list (until i figure out a better way to use it).

Please comment with suggestions and feature requests!

The code is available here: https://github.com/Neal/pebble-hackernews

I think it will be cool if the app can utilize the accelerometer, like maybe shake/tap to refresh?

Good idea, I'll look into the Accelerometer API.

I'm Luis Iván, the creator of Pebble-HN https://github.com/luisivan/pebble-hn

My contributor Jorge and I have looked into the code and found out that you were inspired by Pebble-HN, why didn't you say hi and did a PR? Open source rocks if we all collaborate

Hi Luis, this is the first time I'm looking at Pebble-HN. Not that I have to justify anything, but because of your such big claim, I started to work on this about a week ago, when I even google'd "pebble hacker news" and nothing came up (other than Pebble on Hacker News), which is what made me work on it. I certainly would've said hi if Pebble-HN inspired me, just like I did to Matthew. And the code really from the SDK examples, Multi-Timer and my other work.

    Hi Neal,

Oh sorry, I apologize. Some parts of the app were so similar, also the use of summaries and the Clipped API to obtain them (that we also use) so we immediately thought that.
I suppose great minds think alike and this kind of stuff happens ;)
